Wombling on

Crikey, thought it had been a week or two since the last post but no, apparently it's over a month since my last ramble.

All things dolls house have taken a back seat lately as i'm moving (again!), fingers crossed will be all back to normal by September!

That said, I did get to put together some kits from the Craft Pack company recently as a favor to The Dolls House magazine (their office is in the same building as mine, which I LOVE!).
If you like the idea of making your own miniatures but sometimes don't know where to start they're a great way to get the creative juices going!

I had a go at a little nighty and a set of boxed, very posh slippers.
Very sweet, though I did have to walk away from the night gown at one stage as it was getting the better of me! Note to self: never try to work with mini things when you're over tired and hungry.

This last week has also seen me, and I'm sure you also, glued to the Tv watching chaos unfold here in the Uk.
Monday was a particularly surreal day. Thankfully, the people of Brighton kept their heads which meant I was free to stress about my little sister in London be utterly gobsmacked by what was happening on the screen in front of me.

So, while we wait to see what the bigger repercussions from all this will be let's focus on the silver linings.
The 'riot wombles' heading out to clean up their city and in turn the businesses and individuals that sent lunch, coffee and cleaning supplies out to those involved with the clean up, un prompted and out of love for their communities. Lovley stuff.
